PEHAMIS, probably much the best and handicapped by weak handling, raced into command under his own courage, swerved in the stretch and held on well under his impost and despite little assistance from his rider. EDGECO was steadied along for a half mile, came through on the inside in the stretch and tired near the end, but outstayed TOP MAN. BLACK BRUMMEL moved up gradually in the first three-eighths, failed to endanger the winner while racing gamely under pressure in the stretch, but held the others safe.
