PAY-OFF IN ALL DEAD HEAlis In tho case of any and all dead heats, wagers made away from the track the chart prices should prevail If track odds were offered and accepted. Where house odds were accepted, the procedure should be as follows: If was bet on each horse and 3 to 1 laid on one horse, the pay-off should he .00 to the naycr and .00 to the layer; if 2 to 1 was laid on the other, tho pay-off should be .50 to tho player and .50 to the layer. Where one of tho horses In u dead heat is quoted at odds-on or less than even money, tho transaction is a loser. For instance, If .00 is bet on a 4 to 5 shot, the pay-off in the dead heat would be 90 cents to tho layer and 90 -cents to the player. Tho amount of money bet, plus the odds laid, with the total divided equally between the player and layer, is the regular method of pay-off in dead heats where bookmaking odds prevail.
