The latter, prominent in the early running, responded gamely in the last three-sixteenths and finished with good speed. MR. MEX was forwardly placed from the beginning and held on willingly in the final drive. LYDE was cased back soon after the start, then was taken extremely wide until reaching the stretch. ELEGANT DAME saved ground while having early speed, but failed to stay. KISSIN KID was unable to enter contention. ASTER PRINCESS lost ground and had no speed. BOOK READER was badly outrun. SUNEEN had good speed to follow in close attendance of REPASS, raced to the front nearing the stretch, was shaken up in the last sixteenth and held ANN GROUCHER safe nearing the finish. The latter was close up from the start, responded for the final drive, but could riot engage the winner. FEATHER TREAD unable to keep pace with the leaders in the early running, came with good energy in the final drive to make up ground. REPASS broke fast to set the early pace, but could not stav. FLAG ETTA was unable to improve her position. PRINCESS LADY passed tiring horses. TIME BREAKER was outrun. DEAR GRACIE had no speed. DUNRITA moved up strongly nearing the final turn, then hung in the final drive. TULEYRIES STAR was ridden hard while well up with the leaders, but failed to rally for the final drive. ROYAL BUSINESS, lacking speed to keep in the early contention, bettered her position on the outside and finished full of run in the closing test. AIR WIN was hurried to keep in a contending position and held on strongly after making a strong effort. CORNWALLIS could not reach the leaders. LYNX EYE was outrun throughout.
