KENTUCKY JANE, on the inside throughout and having speed from the start, held sway easily to the final quarter and held on well under strong urging, but was not good enough. TWILIGHT TIME, away slowly and badly outrun for a half mile, came with a rush on the inside thereafter and was going boldly in the final stages. CHANTING was a prominent factor from the start, was inclined to hear out in the stretch, yet held on fairly well. TRA-LA-LA rallied to mild pressure in the stretch, then tired. PREDICATE, probably much the best and forced to .*acc wide throughout, was under a strong hold until the final quarter, was carried out while closing in resolute fashion and was unlucky to lose. KAI-HI, away slowly, worked his way up in the first half mile, but tired thereafter, yet outstayed VALDINA DOLL. The latter had no mishaps. JIM LIPSCOMB showed only a flash of early speed.
