1 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES I $ : $ Jake Zimbro, ardent racing fan, came from his home in Henderson, Ky., for a few days of sport at Churchill Downs, and reported that Dade Park was unaffected by the flood waters that inundated the track a few weeks ago. Royce Martin, owner of the Woodvale Stable, was expected here today to confer with trainer Howard Hoffman, who has been ill with a stomach ailment. Acting for Mrs. A. M. Creech, Bennett Creech purchased at private sale the platers Dunvegan and Malinda B. from Daniel B. Midkiff, here this morning. Among the jockeys who packed their tack over the week-end and hied to other racing points were Charlie McTague, whose destination is Woodbine, while Clayton Perkins and Jimmy Littrell headed for Detroit. Jockey D. R. Stuller was granted a license to ride and accepted his first mount here astride W. E. Snyders Nemont in the seventh race Monday afternoon.
