POLISH GENERAL VISITS PARIS TO MEET GAMELIN PARIS, France, May 15. — Trips by Hitler and Mussolini to look over fortifications along Frances frontiers were quietly countered today as General Tadeus Kasprzycki, Polish war minister, journeyed to Paris for the first direct military talks growing out of the Anglo-French-Polish alliance. In Warsaw it was stated that General Kas-przyckis trip was purely private, but it was generally believed he would use the opportunity to consult with General Marie Gus-tave Gamelin, chief of all the French defense general staff and other high military officers. The tone of Premier Mussolinis Turin speech was welcomed generally in French official circles, where the opinion prevailed that II Duce has an honest respect for the military power of the democracies, and he sincerely wishes to avoid war. The Turin crowds calls for Nice, Corsica and Tunis passed with little notice, since it is recognized that Mussolini himself will be satisfied with concessions in Suez and Djibouti and autonomy rights for Italians in Tunisia.
