FEATURE RACE TO MR. QUICK Easily Accounts for Mondays Main Event at Beulah Park — Double for Jewell Bros. GROVE CITY, Ohio, May 15.— Taking command on the back stretch, Mrs. J. T. Simmons Mr. Quick showed the way for the remainder of the journey in the Peter Schille Purse, featured race at Beulah Park this afternoon. At the end the son of Colin won rather handily. The next three horses finished closely lapped, Speedy Return securing the second award, but Schley Nurse got up on even terms with Doris B. in the final stride to share in a dead-heat for the minor offering. Mrs. Robert J. Dienst made the presentation of the trophy to Mrs. J. T. Simmons, owner of Mr. Quick, at the conclusion of the race. Rain threatened during much of the afternoon, but failed to materialize, and the racing was staged over a fast racing strip before a crowd of average proportions. Jewell Brothers scored a double, Baby Therese winning the juvenile event at her first asking rather handily, coming from behind in the stretch. Sanders experienced little difficulty disposing of Ancient Times during the stretch test of the second race, completing the double.
