ROOSEVELT PLANS TO VISIT GOLDEN GATE EXPOSITION WASHINGTON, D. C, May 15.— Tentative plans for President Roosevelts visit to the Golden Gate Exposition in San Francisco were revealed by the White House today. Mr. Roosevelt, if adjournment plans of Congress permit, will go "to Asheville, N. C, about the middle of June. There he will dedicate the Smoky Mountain National Park. He then will motor through the park to Nashville, Tenn. At Nashville, the President will board a special train which will take him across the continent to San Francisco. If Congress appears to be ready to adjourn by about July 1, the White House said, the President may postpone the trip until then. If it appears that Congress will remain in session until late July or August, as now indicated, Mr. Roosevelt will make the trip about the middle of June. The White House said that no speaking engagements had been made as yet for the trans-continental swing, but it was indicated that the President may take the occasion for several platform appearances. Many invitations are expected, it was said.
