MUCHO GUSTO MAY BE FACTOR; Ramsey and Coppage Runner Expected at Lincoln Fields — Named for Main Events of Meeting. A horse expected to prove a sharp factor in stakes to be run during the twenty-seven day meeting of the Lincoln Fields Jockey Club, beginning May 25, is the seven-year-old Mucho Gusto, owned in partnership by Mrs. Kirby Ramsey and R. F. Coppage. This steady-running ron of. Marvin May — Sweetheart Time, a consistent performer under the Ramsey-Coppage silks for several years, has been named for several of Lincoln Fields eleven added-money features, and it is with these objectives in view that he is now training at Churchill Downs. ~ Mucho Gusto for the last several years has been campaigning with the best handicap performers in racing, and last November he turned in one of his most noteworthy efforts by finishing second to War Admiral in the Rhode Island Handicap. The Marvin May horse is no stranger to Chicago fans, for, although he was unable to win a stake here last year, he placed in several. He was secrjnd in the Lincoln and Peabody Memorial Handicaps and fourth in the Steger Handicap at Lincoln Fields, and third in the Hawthorne Gold Cup. In 1936 he won both the Lincoln and the Peabody Memorial. WON MANY HANDICAPS. While Mucho Gusto was unable to finish first in a stake on the Chicago circuit last year, he scored no less than seven handicap triumphs elsewhere and earned a total of 5,160. His lifetime earnings are 7,100. He has won thirty-nine races. The features he was able to win last year were the E. Pho-cion Howard Memorial, Orange Blossom, Coral Gables, Kentucky, Motor City, Governors and Aquidneck Handicaps. Mucho Gusto was unplaced in his only start early this year and trainer Kirby Ramsey decided he deserved a rest prior to another busy campaign this summer. He has been receiving careful preparation at Churchill Downs, from which point he will be shipped here along with other horses in Ramseys charge, and he is expected to arrive ready to run. In Lincoln Fields stakes he will meet many thoroughbreds well known to the handicap division, for owners of most of the big stables in the Middle West plan to take part in the Creet meeting.
