HIDDENITE, well handled, was taken under strong restraint soon after the start in setting the pace in the run down the back stretch, was slightly urged when challenged turning into the stretch and was never seriously threatened in the final eighth. CHIPETA, never a great distance back and under occasional pressure, was strongly urged in the drive and. outgatning AMERICAN EMBLEM, could not reach the winner. AMERICAN EMBLEM secured racing room on the inside when making a bold bid turning into the stretch and hung in the last strides. JOYCE K. finished gamely. FLODUR had nothing left for the drive. The latter, in close quarters rounding the far turn, raced between horses while improving his position in the stretch and closed resolutely. PARGO, forcing the pace from the start and under occasional pressuie, was placed under strong urging for the final drive, but was not good enough. TRIPLE PLAY lacked early speed and closed strongly. REELAWAY faltered under pressure. STORMY SEA had no mishaps. CLOSE CALL was through after five-eighths. MAD BULL had early speed. BUNGLER was through after three-eighths. Overweight — Bungler, 1 pound. QUINELLA AT FAIRMOUNT PARK SATURDAY PAID 0.60.
