PRINCESS LADY, allowed to fall back off the pace, raced to the outside when engaging the leaders came strongly m the final drive after displacing FLAG ETTA and outstaved PRINCE JOCK. The latter rated nicely in the early stages, finished with good speed in the final drive. FLAG ETTA was unable to get clear under stout urging and tired when the real test came. JUDGES BID, breaking slowly, closed S*?ltly m ?he last three-sixteenths. GOLDEN MAYNE was hard urged and was not good enough. GRAY GLEAM quit. SOME GROUCHER and LA CANTER had no mishaps. WELSH LAD, going in his best form, was kept close to the leaders early, engaged the pacemaker rounding the final turn, took command inside the final eighth and drew out. PUKKA HEAVEN broke out and blocked JIMMY D. at the start, raced into a short lead, shook off DOLLED UP, but tired in the final drive. TROSTAR lost ground on the first turn, was kept on the outside and finished gamely. PROPRIETARY cjosed with good courage. JIMMY D., crowded back at the start, could not menace. CANTERET was outrun. MADFOOT sprinted into a commanding lead, saving ground all the way and held sway to the end. INTELLIGENTSIA was closest to the winner from the start, but was unable to menace and had to be strongly ridden to outstay GOLDUN. The latter was in the first flight all the way and held on well. GAME CHASER was taken up at the break, was eased back going to the first turn, was taken into contention on the side, then jockey lost his whip when the final drive came. WINTONA was outrun. LADY CIREK, lacking early speed, moved forward on the outside when reaching the back stretch, closed strongly and was up in the last few strides. CORA KAY secured racing room on the inside to overhaul the leaders nearing the stretch, but had too much taken out of her and tired right at the end. HAGERSTOWN BOY was rushed off his feet in the first five-eighths and hung in the closing drive. HIGH-DEAR was rushed hard and had nothing left for the final drive. LADY WEAVER was pinched back midway of the back stretch. PEGADETTE showed early speed. ROYAL BUSINESS, racing in her best form under improved handling, bettered her position stoutly in the last five-eighths to finish gamely. PRADIS gained steadily in the last half mile. BARGAIN BOY closed stoutly from a slow beginning. LADYS FAVOR was used up racine with OCEAN ROLL. BURNER was never a threat. DARK MAY had no excuses. OCEAN ROLL quit badly.
