WESTYS HERO raced forwardly placed from the start, was sent to the lead inside the final eighth and just failed to last. JUB JUB forced the early running, held a brief lead in the stretch and hung in the final stages. LOLOMA set the pace to the final three-sixteenths, then faltered. MASKED BUD made up ground. WEE PRINCESS set a speedy pace to the stretch, then quit. SPEAK raced evenly in a good effort. THERMAL faltered after a half mile. BRANDY SNAP made up ground. FAIR DIANA had speed the first mile and a half, took a clear lead leaving the tenth fence and closed gamely to the end. PERSIAN PRINCE raced evenly and fenced weakly. PRATTLER stumbled after landing at the eleventh fence and unseated rider, who remounted and finished the course for fourth. PRINCE DANILO was outrun and pulled up.
