LIFELIKE raced into command gradually, steadily increased her advantage during the last five-sixteenths and, kept under light pressure to the end, won with little effort. ROUNDHEEL raced prominently from the start, was under strong urging in the last three-eighths, failed to menace the winner while holding on well, but held the others safe. NIGHT MIST, far back early, raced wide after three-eighths and finished well under weak handling. TRANSPORT, away fast but taken back repeatedly the first three-eighths, swung to the outside on the stretch turn, raced to the front gradually when straightened in the stretch and drew out without need of strong urgine. NOTICING, well handled and saving much eround, slowly improved her position after reaching tlie last three-eighths and wore down CHIEF MENTEUR in the closing strides. CHIEF MENTEUR was sent to the load with a rush, swerved out when entering the stretch and offered little resistance when the winner challenged, yet hung on fairly well. FROZEN MASK racd prominently from the start, but failed to stay when placed to a drive. BUDDIE TREACY was always far back. CRULIA showed nothing. SADIE F. quit in the stretch. YANKEE LAD, away fast, took an easy lead, as EL JUEZ tired badly, came out in the stretch and, shaking off KING COTTON, came away slowly in the last sixteenth. KING COTTON, away slowly and on the inside early, began to better his position after going out on the turn, made a determined bid when straightened in the stretch, where he continued to race wide, but tired badly in the late stages. SLAVIC, shuffled back early, worked her way up gradually and outgamed BUDDY ROGERS in the closing strides. BUDDY ROGERS was a sharp factor from the start, rallied in the stretch, but tired in the last eighth. ALLDENA tired badly. CHANDERA was taken back when in close quarters early, could not reach the leaders when clear and gave way steadily in the last quarter. VIRAGIN, never a great distance back and racing wide for a half mile, went to the inside in the stretch and tired badly near the end. EYE KNOCKER was on the inside from the start, dropped back slowly after reaching the last five-sixteenths until near the end, where she quit badly. SASSY MATE, away slowly, but always in the better part of the track, as she raced wide throughout, raced to the front quickly under mild urging, was steadied around the turn, gamely shook off WHIM WHAMS challenge and, sustaining speed in smart fashion, came away in the last eighth. WHIM WHAM, also in the best going throughout, raced nicely in hand to the stretch, made a bid when placed to punish-, ment, but tired and was inclined to swerve in the late stages. DOWNY PILLOW, away slowly and unable to settle into a good stride while in the deeper going in the early part, moved up gradually after going to the outside on the stretch turn, but this effort under her impost took much out of her and she tired when the real test came. MANIE OHARA, confidently ridden and reserved off the pace, raced wide after about three-eighths, responded strongly to only mild pressure, after reaching the final five-sixteenths and, wearing down the leaders, drew out to win with something left. BALA ORMONT raced wide throughout and, lightly shaken, up several times in the early stages, moved with a rush after three-quarters, tired after nearing the winner and was not severely persevered with in the late stages. SMART CRACK, rated off the early pace and always in the better part of the track, rallied when called upon, but faltered badly after seven-eighths. BUTTERMILK gave way suddenly on the stretch turn. MORSTEP was through after showing speed to the stretch. DINNER DATE, in the worst going throughout, quit badly after making most of the pace to the stretch. RUDE AWAKENING acted badly at the post, began slowly and did not extend herself. ALLANWOOD, nicely rated while making the pace, was placed to pressure after three-quarters and held on well and, but for swerving to the inside in the final eighth, might have Finished closer up. OUR REIGH raced prominently from the start and dropped back on the stretch turn, but came again in the closing stages.
