WHEELING- DOWNS INAUGURAL WHEELING, W. Va., May 27. — J. McNa-mara provided the winner of the West Virginia Turf Handicap, featured event of Wheeling Downs opening card this afternoon, in Chance Queen. Tempting Witch and Queen Clarice divided the minor portions of the purse, finishing in this order. Chance Queen proved much the best, led throughout and won with ease. Rain threatened for a short period about race time, but failed to materialize and the racing was staged under ideal conditions. A capacity crowd of over 6,000 witnessed the sport, the clubhouse being particularly well patronized.
