GRASS CUTTER, away slowly, woiked his way up fast when racing very wide the first three-eiehths, wore down DORA MAY after reaching the stretch and. holding on gamely, held CROSS KEYS safe. The latter, on the inside early, dropped back before going out on tbe turn, came with tine belated speed in the final quarter and wore down DORA MAY fast in the last fifty yards. The latter had fine speed from the start, was well rated and held on fairly well in the drive. TIGER, a factor from the start, held on creditably. TALKED ABOUT was under strong urging after three-eighths, but did not respond and was always held safe. SILVERETTE had speed and saved ground, but failed to keep up under her impost in the final quarter. KINGS BLUE, away very slowly, was never a factor. FINANCE showed little. CO SPORT ran a dull race. MANIE OHARA. kept on the inside for the early racing and under steady restraint to the stretch turn, where she swung to the outside, closed courageously under strong handling and got up to dead heat HER REIGH in the last stride. HER RUIGH began fast, was shaken up approaching the final half mile, did not keep up on the second turn, but came again with determination when straightening away in the stretch and headed DOLLY VAL in the closing strides, but barely lasted to get a dead heat with MANIE OHARA. DOLLY VAL. on the extreme outside early, went to the inside after reaching the back stretch, gradually worked her way into command ami held on gamely, but succumbed to MANIE OHARA and HER REIGH right at the end. BALA ORMONT, hustled along from the start and inclined to swerve in the early stages, dropped back after appealing through in the stretch. CHANCE RAY had no mishaps. SOME COUNT was taken up to avoid falling over DFLLOR on tbe tirst turn. BURNING STAR unseated his rider when he stumbled over DELLOR. MACAWLEE, well ridden and always clear as she raced on the outside, forced the pace under restraint to the stretch, stood a drive gamely and. wearing down OTTOMAN, appeared ready to draw out. OTTOMAN, sent to the front on the inside and well rated, drew away without need of urging on the stretch turn, then hung on well under strong urging in the last three sixteenths, but was not good enough. PUNDIT was under a good hold early, failed to keep up on the turn, but closed well through the final quarter and was getting to the leaders. DECOURCY. raced wide throughout and in hand for almost a half mile, moved up slightly when called upon, but hung in the last eighth.
