Cravat May Be Actual Starting Top Weight in 0,000 Added Fixture— Two Other Features. NEW YORK, N. Y., June 17.— The out-[ standing attraction of the Queens County Jockey Clubs racing schedule for next week is the fifty-first running of the 0,000 added Brooklyn Handicap, Saturday. While Kayak II., winner of the Santa Anita and San Carlos Handicaps; Bull Lea, winner of The Widener; Stagehand, Jacola, Galapas and War Admiral, all first-f light horses, will be missing, the Brooklyn still figures to be one of the years best races of its type. There is no sound reason to believe that the Belair Studs Johnstown, an eligible, will start in this rich special, but many followers of the horses are hoping he will. Horses which won the Brooklyn at three are Conroy, Irish Lad, Superman, Celt, Friar Rock, Grey Lag, Eternal, Discovery and The Chief. None of these packed as much weight to victory as Johnstown has been assigned. Discovery, which carried Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilts silks to victory in three successive runnings of the Brooklyn, had 113 pounds up in 1934. That is top weight to date for a three-year-old winner. If Johns-l town starts, he will have to tote 120 pounds, six pounds over scale. CRAVAT IN WITH 126. The actual high weight of Saturdays Brooklyn starting field probably will be Townsend B. Martins Cravat, winner of the San Juan Capistrano and the Suburban Handicaps. He is tops on the list with 126 pounds, scale for horses of his age. Others which are expected to start are Mrs. Parker Comings Thanksgiving, winner this year of the Excelsior and Philadelphia Handicaps, 121; Marshall Fields Sir Damion, Dixie winner, 120; Myron Selznicks Cant Wait, 112; Arnold Hangers He Did, 112; Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilts Heelfly, winner of the Gittings Handicap at Pimlico, 112, and Brookmeade Stables Handcuff, 108. Other eligibles are Johnstown, winner of the Withers, Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, Wood Memorial and Paumonok Handicap, 120; Willis Sharpe Kilmers Ned-fjayr, 112: Maxwell Howards The Chief, 112; George D. Wideners Eight Thirty, 109; John Hay Whitneys Heather Broom, 108, and B. F. Whitakers Mythical King, 107. In addition to the Brooklyn, two other stakes remain in the book for the Aqueduct meeting. They are the ,000 mile and a sixteenth Gazelle, for three-year-old fillies, and the ,500 three-quarters mile Great American, for two-year-olds. These specials will be renewed on July 1, final day of the meeting.
