I NORTH RANDALL TURF NOTES t f — ___ — _§ While schooling from the gate Friday morning the plater Col. Scott threw apprentice Wayne C. Huff and ran through the outside fence. Huff was uninjured. The horse bruised himself slightly and will not be able to race for several weeks. W. J. Sprows Indian Head, having ariived from Suffolk Downs, has joined the public stable of J. T. Simmons. He will next be seen in action at the Thistle Down meeting. Theodore Poolus. who breeds thoroughbreds at his Nashville, Tenn., farm, is visiting here for several days. Apprentice H. Tackett accepted the first mount of his riding career here Friday astride Legality in the eighth race. C. W. F. Scott has purchased the plater In Step from W. Allan.
