He races a formidable stable in partnership with E. D. Axton, also of Louisville. Roscoe Goose Saturday morning privately sold Silver Braid to Mrs. D. L. Horton. The horse will be trained by Mrs. Hortons husband, Al Horton. Jockey T. P. Martin has entered the employ of Valdina Farms and will do some of the heavy riding for that establishment. The horses Odie Clelland trains for Mrs. R. J. Murphy and those W. G. Sparks has for various owners will depart for Latonia some time next week. R. Wall arrived from Wisconsin with the horse Mr. Flash, owned by the Good Time Stable. Jockey R. L. Vedder, who is serving a suspension for the remainder of the meeting, left for his home in Wichita. Kan., for a brief vacation. He will report back to the stable trained by Kirby Ramsey at Arlington Park. Jockey Robert Musser left for Detroit. C. J. FitzGerald, Jr., a recent arrival from Fairmount Park, is replacing his father as steward representing the Illinois State Racing Commission for a few days. The elder FitzGerald is at his home in New England. The suspension of apprentice George Wallace expires in time for him to accept mounts here next Wednesday. — — ♦ —
