. COMING BOSTON ATTRACTIONS I — ; Miles Standish Stakes Next Saturday Culmination of an Interesting Week of Sport at Suffolk. BOSTON, Mass., June 17.— Topped next I Saturday with the running of the Mileo i Standish Stakes for a purse of ,000, the i coming week gives promise of furnishing ! some of the best racing of the Suffolk Downs meeting, which now has just passed the half-way mark with five weeks still remaining. On Monday the feature race is the Scollay Square, for a purse of ,200, for three-year-olds in grade "C," over the mile route. Tuesday comes the Mahant for a purse of ,100, over six furlongs for three-year-old fillies in grade "C." Wednesday, a half holiday in this sector, brings two featured races, the Winchester and the Orient Center. The former is for a purse of ,100 for three-year-olds, six furlongs, and should draw several eligibles for the 5,000 Yankee Handicap. The second feature, the Orient Center, is one of the long races which the customers seem to like, for it is over the mile and a half distance for four-year-olds and upward. On Thursday there will also be two features, the Melrose at a mile and a furlong, for three-year-olds, and the Trowbridge | Handicap, at a mile, a handicap for three-i year-olds and upward. Friday the ladies are given a chance in i the running of the Point of Pines for a purse j of ,200, for fillies and mares, thiee-year-j olds and upward, at six furlongs. The Miles Standish, in which eighty-two nominations have been made, including some I of the best two-year-old colts and geldingo in I the land, will be decided. The race is at five j furlongs, with ,000 added. A large field is I expected from the large nomination list, on which are registered some of the best-known stables of this country. The E. R. Bradley stable, Brookmeade, Greentree, Dcnemaik, Alfred Vanderbilt, the King Ranch, Willis S. Kilmer, and other great racing establishments have named horses for the event.
