, Dundridge Farms Master Experiments in Breeding Sandy Baldwin Studies Nicks, Lines; Hopes for Stake Winner WHITE POST, Va., June 27.--This years foaling season at Alexander A. "Sandy" Baldwins Dundridge Farm, near here, is over. The crop is small, only four in number. Two are fillies and two are colts and all by different stallions. There is a good looking son of Chance Shot from the Man o War mare, Shell Hole, In the foursome that Sandy rather fancies, as welj as a striking bay filly by Double Scotch Better Hole, by Cavalcade. The other two youngsters, also pleasing to the eye, are a bay filly by Pompey Sleek, by Ariel, and a gray colt by Unbreakable Royal Chain, by Royal Canopy. Baldwin seldom has more than four or five foals. He is not a big breeder. But he gets a lot of fun out of experimenting with nicks, and lines, hoping some day he will hit the jackpot with a stake winner. Meanwhile, he is not losing any sleep over it. He is considering disposing of most of his mares, with the exception of Shell Hole and Vanity. The latter is a 16-year-old daughter of Over There Sunstars Pride, a half-sister to the stake winner, Polydorus. She was bred this year -to Pilate. Shell Hole, a daughter of Man o War, out of Golden. Masque, who is a half sister to Burlesque, was mated with Rosemont. The mares Baldwin is considering selling are Better Hole, Royal Chain, Sleek, Bonnie May and Lady Taskta. The latter is 12 years old, by Bondage Taska, and bred to Gino. Royal Chain, dam of the two-year-old Chain Miss and by Royal Canopy and Lady Chain, was bred to Pilate. Sleek, a comparatively young mare by Ariel Petie, was bred to Bull Lea. Sleek, foaled in 1932, won 10 races and is the dam of the two-year-old Lady Mamie, by Whichone. Better Hole is only four years old. A daughter of Cavalcade, she is out of Shell j Hole and was served by Double Scotch,
