FAST WORK, under steadying restraint for three-quarters, moved .up on the outside to gain a contending position nearing the stretch, then assumed Command- to draw out at the end. SELF STARTER, well up while in hand, took the lead when SIS WAGNER tired, then held on well in the drive. MISS HARDBOOT . saved ground entering -the stretch. MOROCCO IRENE failed to better her position under steady urging. SIS WAGNER showed speed for three-quarters, then faltered. VELOZ was unable to reach the leaders. DONA NUTTER had no mishaps. ONETTE, outrun early, came to the outside in the stretch and finished fast. FIRING PIN, away well, could not improve his position. DARK IDEA ran evenly. WATUSSI showed speed for a half mile, then tired. WAR JOE had no excuses. MEADOW MONEY was outrun. RUTH LERNER showed early speed. Overweight Onette, 4 pounds. PEHAMIS was rushed into the lead soon after the start and stood a mild drive, then held BAMBOO BROOM safe at the end. BAMBOO BROOM forced the pace and stood a drive gamely. HENRY M. worked his way up on the inside, saving ground on the turn and held on well. JUST AHEAD came fast in the stretch. FLYING PRETTY showed speed, was in close quarters in the back stretch and came again in the stretch when clear. MY DAY had no excuse. ROYAL BROOM .was never a factor. MISS PERSEL took command at once, shook off repeated challenges, was shaken mildly again in the stretch and held TED GREENOCK safe at the end. The latter, away slowly, lost ground on the turn, then came fast at the finish. BALD SHOT showed early speed and was in close quarters entering the stretch, holding on well at the finish. YALDINA REBEL broke slowly, then came fast in the stretch. PRINCE DANNY, outrun in the early stages, saved ground on the turn and closed fast. GAY SALLIE had no txcuc. I 1 Ff was outrun. The latter moved up to thewinner entering the stretch, then hung in the drive. GREENOCK FLAME, away fast, took the lead, but tired slightly. B. P. GREENOCK ran evenly. ED GREENOCK was outrun. BAR PLAY was placed in the early running, moved up on the back stretch the second time around, but could not menace the winner. BABE TAYLOR trailed--the field until the stretch, then closed fast. DISTRIBUTE took command at the start, was under stout restraint while leading and then tired badly in the last half. STROLLING BY tired. BOB HI was never a factor.
