MONON LAD, in hand for three-eighths, disposed of VALLEJO turning into the stretch, raced TINDER GAL into submission in the drive, drew away Into a good lead a sixteenth from the finish and had enough left to outfinish the fast closing MISS NAQI. The latter, in tight quarters early, saved ground most of the way, came to the outside forthe drive-and was racing strongly near the end. OXFORD LAD dropped back after the start and closed resolutely. TINDER GAL, slow to begin, made up ground rapidly while racing wide and threatened the winner an eighth from the finish, then tired. WINNING CHANCE showed a good effort. VALLEJO was racing strongly when she stumbled turning into the stretch and never recovered. The others -were outrun. SECOND RACE 34 MILE Out of Chute. TRA-LA-LA, outrun for three-eighths, responded to strong pressure in the stretch, wore down WITHIN and held on gamely in the drive when WITHIN came again. WITHIN, slow to hit her best stride, moved to the leaders with a rush on the far turn, wore down BIBI C. when ready, held on stubbornly when challenged by the winner and came again near the end. BURMAN, away slowly, raced wide while bettering his position nd finished with fine speed. FYLFOT raced well. MAGNOLIA CASH, unable to keep up, closed with good courage. CARLADE also came from a good distance back in the drive. LUCKY KING had some early speed. PROSPECT LADY finished fast. BIBI C. quit. DEEPDENE, well ridden, raced in the better part of the track early, swung around GRACE K. entering the stretch and wore down the early leader in the last twenty! yards. GRACE K. had the most speed, was steadied along under good rating and held on stubbornly when challenged by the winner. DRY ICE, well placed, dropped back turning into the stretch, then came with a belated rush in the drive. J BABY broke rapidly, lacked early speed and finished fastest. MOROCCO LAD tired. Won driving; second and third the same. GREEN TORCH, favored-by racing in the better part of the track, disposed of YA-MAN after three-eighths, opened a good lead midway of the stretch, bore out slightly when tiring, but had enough left to stall off GREENOCKS COIN. The latter, in tight quarters most of the way, swerved to the inside after passing the eighth post and, coming with good speed, outfiriished YA-MAN. The latter had the most speed, but tired when placed to a drive in the stretch. SCOTCH PERT raced evenly. EBS FIRST tired. PAULINE W. had a rough trip and finished fast when in the clear. JUBILO, away fast and in hand while racing with DEVILS FROLIC, came away to a good lead an eighth from the finish, tired suddenly in the final twenty yards and just lasted. SURGEON DICK, never far back, came around the leaders with a rush in the final three-sixteenths and got up in the last strides to finish on even terms with DEVILS FROLIC. The latter forced the pace throughout, dropped back for a breathing spell entering the stretch, came again and finished in a dead heat with SURGEON DICK. CHANDERA, in the deepest part of the track throughout, finished strongly. GRAND FASHION had no excuses. ALL TRUE was outrun. DOCTOR REDER was through after a half: SIXTH RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. ESPINO GOLD, a distant trailer for a half, began to move up swiftly entering the- stretch,swung to the middje of the track entering the stretcji and, coming with a cyclonic rush, got up in the last strides. FLORIZAN BEAU, under strong restraint while racing with DOUBTFUL, wore down the latter after a half, took a good lead in the stretch, tired suddenly and just failed to last. FERGIES COUNT, a keen factor from the start, saved much ground entering the stretch, took a brief lead a few strides from the wire, then hung. DOUBTFUL, under strong punishment from the start, dropped back in the stretch and came again near the finish; YAR made up some ground in the drive. BEAMY quit. BOOK PLATE was eased when beaten. BOOKS PRIDE raced SUCRE and DANDY MAIDEN into submission, was no match for the winner, but was best of the others. TATES BOY, under strong urging from the start, finished well. SUCRE, well placed, was forced back entering the stretch and showed nothing thereafter. DANDY MAIDEN quit badly in the drive. FENCING was outrun. MENTAL BANKER was eased when beaten.
