State Gets ,840,832 From Gansett Racing PAWTUCKET, R. I., May 29.— From the 31-day spring meeting just concluded at Narragansett Park, the State of Rhode Island received the imposing total of ,840,832.81 as its share of the pari-mutuel "take" and breakage. Of this sum 13,784.84 went to the state, the balance of ,027,038.97 being divided between the cities and towns of the state, pro-rated in accordance with the respective assessed valuations. A total of 9,125,294 passed through the mutuel machines for an all New England high, a daily average of ,262,106. A new paid attendance record was also set, a total of 587,775 averaging 18,960 persons per day.
