LUCKY STREET possessed the most speed while racing on the inside, was hard ridden through the stretch and held on gamely to withstand FANCY FUN. The latter raced in closest pursuit of the winner and made repeated bids for command, but was not good enough. BRIDGE TERM was away slowly and was rushed into contention on the outside, then could not get up in the drive. SPEED BIRD lost ground on the outside in a good effort. ROMANCE HILL had no mishap. The latter began slowly and entered contention on the inside to finish fast. LATE ADVICE, much used outsprinting REPRINT early, weakened in the drive. BLACK DRAGON raced evenly between horses. COUNT GOLD did not respond to punishment. ERMELIA faltered in the drive. SMOKEY was outrun. OUR MEMORY did not threaten. MIDHY had brief speed. REPRINT quit badly. Overweight— Our Memory, 3 pounds. JAY FORST, within striking distance while saving ground and under light restraint, came between horses in the stretch and, responding to vigorous urging, rushed to the lead in the final yards. LIBERATE, reserved while racing close up, easily assumed command in the stretch, was taken in hand, then could not recover when challenged by the winner. BOLO PAT had good speed and held on well. DARK LACE raced evenly in a good effort. ELKTONIA QUEEN set the pace to the stretch, then faltered. RIVER PLAY closed well. PLAY SURE was in tight quarters entering the far turn, then could not threaten when clear. MISS WAVETTE quit. SCIPIO, hard ridden from the beginning, opened a clear lead entering the stretch, then weakened from his early efforts. FORE CADDY, allowed to settle in stride, closed steadily, but could not get up. The latter worked his way forward on the inside, moved to the winner in the final yards, then hung. LUCKY B. raced on the outside and could not gain in the drive. COUNT FORAY could not reach the lead and quit. NEWSCASTER never threatened. WONDERWHO, fractious at the post, was eased back next to the rail after the beginning and had no chance thereafter. BYMEABOND was sent into a good lead at once, made the pace under urging and held on doggedly to the end. ONE UP, hustled along early to reach contention, was taken under light restraint through the backstretch, then moved up strongly on the turn and was reaching the winner. MANNEQUIN forced the pace for half a mile, then weakened. AMERICAN EAGLE never threatened. THUNDER HOOF was overmatched. Overweight— Thunder Hoof, 2 pounds.
