HORNPIPE raced close to the pace from the start and responded to pressure in the run to hold TRAPEZE safe. The latter was away slowly, improved his position under pressure and was carried wide on the stretch turn by INTREPID, then finished well when clear. FAMESTOWN was quick to begin, showed speed and had no mishap. CHERISH began slowly and made up ground on the inside. INTREPID was rushed up fast after the start and beoan to be a rout going to the far turn. GOLD BULL had no mishap. NOVATO and HALCYON AIR were slow to settle in their strides. JIMJOE was sent up fast rounding the far turn and, under urging, held on well to the end. BRADWIN was roused sharply entering the stretch, finished fast and on the inside of the winner. FLIGHT NURSE had no mishap. PROJOE showed an even effort. PRECIOUS YEARS was never a factor. DANCE PRETTY, VALDINA TYRANT and HI MARIETTA quit badly. Scratched— 22525 Teds Special, 114.
