Kentucky Notes CHURCHILL DOWNS. Louisville, Ky., May 16. Monte Parke will transfer the John A. Kinard, Jr., stable to the Detroit Fair Grounds on May 18. Parke will have some 20 horses for campaigning at the Motor City course and apprentice Jimmy Combest, contract rider for the Kinard establishment, will accompany the Parke-trained unit to the Woodward Avenue track. Trainer Howard Wells will campaign his large public stable at the Chicago tracks, leaving here Saturday. Wells has a powerful stable of 25 horses, headed by Walmac Farms Old Kentuck and Fishback and Fogartys Faithful More. Jockey Al Bodiou will accompany the stable. Trainer Richard J. Fischer made preparations to transfer his stable of six horses to the Detroit Fair Grounds after this meeting. A few of the thoroughbreds in his string are owned by Fischer in partnership with his brother, L. Fischer.
