Many Leading Havre Riders To Perform at Atlantic City ATLANTIC CITY, Mays Landing, N. J., May 24. Many of the leading riders now performing at Havre de Grace will transfer their tacks to Atlantic City for the 21-day meeting opening at this seashore course on Monday, according to Irish Doyle, who serves as custodian of the jockeys room at both the Maryland and the local track. Doyle today revealed that such prominent members of the Havre de Grace riding colony as Red Howell, R. J. Martin, Nick Jemas, Mike Caffarella, Johnny Breen and Charley Wahler planned to accept mounts during the Atlantic City meeting. Howell may prove to be one of the leading booters during the seashore session because the veteran reinsman is under call to trainer Royal Roberts, who has a powerful stable quartered at the local track. Martin, who has developed into a highly capable rider, will handle the thoroughbreds saddled by trainer Jimmy McGee for the Shamrock Stable and other patrons. Also expected to ply their trade at Atlantic City are the topnotch apprentices Frankie Lullo, Tommy Baker and Sid Man-ley, all of whom are currently performing at Havre de Grace.
