Thompson Vice-President Of HBPA Division Here HAWTHORNE, Cicero, HI., May 24. The local division of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association met for a buffet supper and special meeting last night at the nearby Hotel Annetta. After Prank Nugent introduced Prank South, national secretary and treasurer of the turfmens association, South gave an interesting talk on the national picture, stressing the need of cooperation from all members. Larry Thompson, who is now campaigning his horses in New England, was unanimously re-elected vice-president, to represent this sector in national affairs of the HBPA. A directorial committee of ten was voted upon and the following were named to that body: Clyde Trout, Frank Nugent, Edward B. Carpenter, Bennett Creech, John Oglesby, William H. Bishop, J. P. Keezek, Paul Kelly, Ralph Salvino and. S. Bryant Ott.
