HYWICK was sent into closer contention on the outside on the backstretch, disposed of FLICK on the turn, took a clear lead and drew out to win easily. DALE MAEDIC, a strong contender from the beginning, saved ground, closed well, but was no match for the winner. FLICK was fastest away, was hustled into a clear lead while slightly off the rail, met the bid of the winner willingly, but weakened. INSOLATE lacked early speed, but finished well. GYPSY ACTRESS raced evenly, but was not dangerous. CHISLAM was never prominent. ELEANOR VAN was away poorly and had no chance. PRINCESS MARGE could not keep up. LOANGO was a forward factor from the beginning, responded readily when roused to move to the front in the stretch and won with something in reserve. PRINCESS ELIZA was steadied within reach of the early pace, moved up strongly in the stretch, finished well, but was no match for the winner. MEYERSDALE had good speed to open up a clear lead, saved ground, but was weakening. MISS EVIDENCE improved her position gradually and finished well. REAL SWEET made up some ground from a slow beginning. MINEOLA MISS had early speed, but fell bade steadily. BALLACOLAS did not appear to fancy the footing. SAMMIES IMAGE was unhurried early, moved into closer contention on the final turn, was taken to the outside for the drive and was up under hard urging. JAMERICA was under strong restraint early, moved around the leaders to- take command on the stretch turn, drew clear and held on stubbornly. GOURMET trailed for a half, was sent into closer contention quickly and finished well on the outside. MARKET BOY had early speed while racing with the pace, but weakened under pressure. ALUM0NT was under pressure to hold a forward position and weakened. SWELL KID was never dangerous. TOUCH OF TIME was used up racing with the early pace on the outside and quit. HIGH SPIRITS was steadied closest to the pace of SNAPPY VERSE, was placed to strong pressure, moved to the leader m the stretch and was up in the final stride. SNAPPY VERSE had speed to open up a clear lead, vas steadied in front, met the bid of the winner strongly and just failed to last. BEN GRAY moved into closer contention with a rush, but could not threaten the first two. DOUG CRATE was a forward factor from the beginning, but was forced to lose ground while racing on the outside. SHE DIDNT flashed early spede. but was unable to keep up HAPPY INDIAN moved up threateningly on the inside on the far turn, but fltatened out. GAY TOWN was unable to engage the leaders. SEALANE, far back early, closed with a belated rush. LUCKY B. moved into closer contention on the turn, but flattened out. RAY had speed to take command, was steadied in front and saved ground, but weakened. BETTY GRABLE was under pressure to maintain a forward position and quit. FADO could not keep up. MANY LANDS, never far back, was sent through on the inside in the drive and closed very fast. FAVORITO lacked early speed, moved up with a rush on the outside in the final quarter and made up some ground. ANNIES REPLY raced evenly and forwardly, but was unable to engage the leaders. ARIEL ACE had some early speed while racing between horses, but was unable to get to the front and flattened out. MARLTOWN could not hold a forward position.
