Marineili to Ride Regularly FAIR GROUNDS, Detroit, Mich., May 24. Jockey Joe Martinelli, who has been riding only intermittently recently, plans to return to regular action at the Detroit meeting. In top shape at 110 pounds, Marineili will be a valued addition to the local racing colony. Best known for his success when riding for August "Sarge" Swenke, under whom he was tutored, Marineili was astride Alsab when he wonhis first stake race as a two-year-old in the Dinner Purse at Keeneland. He also piloted Vander Pool in many of that speedsters sensational victories and rode successfully for J. L. Roberts and D. R. McDaniel. Marineili is affiliated with the stable of C. C. Ortlieb whose horses are trained by Joe Hall.
