MISS OBEHAN, not hustled while k outrun in the first quarter mile, saved ground while improving position, swung to the outside nearing the I furlong pole, responded to steady pressure to gain the lead and was drawing but. INVASION WOOD moved to the leaders with a rush on the outside, then was sent to the inside and finished gamely. STEPASTIT, reserved for a half mile, was sent to the inside of the early leaders, gained command and drew clear, then faltered under a drive. BLUE PEBBLE finished stoutl yin the late stages. PEACE TERMS had speed for a quarter, t then weakened. TIME ROLL raced evenly. OUT BOUND JR. was hustled into the lead soon after the start, shortened stride on the far turn while bearing out and was not persevered with. MISS HILL was never a factor. HALOMER moved between horses to enter contention nearing the quarter pole, responded to steady pressure and down MUSIC MASTER inside the final sixteenth. The latter was under light urging to gain command after a quarter, maintained a slight advantage while saving ground and held on gamely, giving way in the final yards. SCOTCH DOUBLE, well up on the outside, was well handled while trying to bear out on the far turn, then rallied mildly under a drive. POKER FACE failed to better position under steady pressure. TEXAS STYLE showed nothing. MISS OHOGAN raced wide early, was steered to the inside for the drive and had no excuse. B.-FORTY-EIGHT weakened after a half mile. CHIPPER SALLY showed nothing. BLENWEED, kept close to the pace, was under stout restraint until straightened in the stretch, responded to a steady drive and wore down BRIGHT SIGNAL in the final stride. The latter gained command in the first quarter, was steadied while saving ground, came out slightly entering the lane and held on tenaciously. BILL G., unable to remain with the leaders early, made a game bid nearing the furlong pole between the leaders, then faltered. MARKSMAN moved through on the inside entering the stretch, then flattened out under a drive. ADONIS was unable to improve position . under pressure. CLOY showed nothing. DECISION, in hand while within striking distance, moved closer to the leader nearing the far iurn, rallied when set down to engage DAVIES SISTER, drew clear and was kept going under steady pressure. COLD BLAST moved into contention with a rush while on the inside, tried to get through nearing the three-furlong pole, was forced to take up and recovered to close stoutly. DAVIES SISTER remained in closest attendance of the early pace, assumed command when SABLE STAR weakened, held on gamely when challenged and weakened slightly in the final sixteenth. DONOR, steadied while within striking distance, moved readily when called upon on the outside of the leaders, gained command nearing the furlong pole and drew out without punishment. ROYAL LOVER showed speed to gain an early lead and escape crowding was steadied under strong restraint, remained in hand to the final quarter, rallied when put to pressure and closed gamely. ATOMIC POWER, under restraint while never far back, lacked racing room until straightened for the drive, then closed with good energy. END OF STRIFE, caught between horses nearing the first turn was taken up sharply, recovered quickly, remained close to the pace, saved ground while challenging for command, then faltered. LOYAL LEGION, sent through on the inside to take command in the first quarter, was steadied under a snug hold to the far turn, gave way when challenged and was tiring at the end. JOBSTOWN was in close quarters soon after the start, then failed to respond to steady urging in the late stages. BULL TAR was outrun. KERRY tired steadily after a half. Scratched 23180 Belrate, 106. MAGELLAN, kept under steadying restraint and saving ground to the far turn, moved through on the inside to draw close to the leader, then continued gamely under steady pressure. DINNER PARTY, outrun to the final quarter, came between horses while closing stoutly APROPRIADO moved threateningly when set down, but was not good enough. MULLINGAR had speed for a half mile, then weakened. CHANCE PLAYER, hustled to set the early pace, was steadied entering the back-stretch and held on gamely to the final quarter, then tired. ANOTHER BEL set the pace under steadying restraint, held on gamely when challenged then faltered under a drive. JUDEX raced evenly. IMA PEARL retired steadily after a half mile. HER REPLY moved to the inside nearing the furlong pole and gained a slight lead, then faltered. NAVY FLYER was steadied while setting the pace and held on gamely after going wide on the final turn, then weakened. REST AWHILE moved through on the inside to close ground under urging. DRY BELT, closer to the pace than usual, failed to respond when put to a drive. MERRICK BELLE had speed for six furlongs. KING LEROY was unable to keep up. ERNEST trailed.
