EI Lobo Runs Three-Quarters In 1:10 in Return to Races HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., May 27. Stuart Hambleins El Lobo, making his first start since the Santa Anita season, returned to competition auspiciously as he raced to victory in the 5,000 Premiere Handicap before 45,393 cheering fans as the Hollywood Turf Clubs summer season of 50 days got under way Saturday. El Lobo, winner at the Arcadia course of the San Antonio Handicap, ran the three-quarters of a mile in Saturdays engagement in 1:10, a fifth of a second off the track record, and won by a length from Neil S. McCarthys Be Sure Now, as W. D. Rorex Texas Sandman swept into third position. The Premiere topped a splendid program. The fans poured ,224,493 through the pari-mutuel machines.
