Services for Perry Belmont BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 27. Funeral services will be held for Perry Belmont at St. Marys Home and Catholic Church in Newport tomorrow morning at 10 oclock. Mr. Belmont, who died yesterday at the age of 96, had retired from racing 35 years ago, when the sport was temporarily banned in New York State, and few of his contemporaries are still active on the turf, and those who are, are not in sufficiently good health to permit them to make the trip to Rhode Island to attend the rites for the founding member of The Jockey Club, United Hunts Racing Association and Turf and Field Club.
