File Demurrer to James Suit LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 27. A demurrer to the suit brought by Miss Betty Grable and her husband, Harry James, was filed Saturday in Superior Court here by C. H. Jones and Sons, of Long Beach, Calif. The film pair in their suit had requested 5,000 damages, plus ,000 court costs, but they said they would return the horses and dismiss the suit if the Joneses return the 05,000 purchase price, and in addition, pay ,000 for the care of the thoroughbreds. In the demurrer the Joneses allege the film star and her band leader husband did not specify when the broken bone in the foot of Poco Mas, one of the horses, was- discovered, or any cause of action for fraud or breach of warranty.
