HESTER S. was a prominent factor from the start and responded to pressure in the final drive to outlast her opposition. DISMAL KEY improved her position and came between the leaders for the final drive. MEFLY moved up fast on the inside, only to hang nearing the finish. ZACAPLAY shewed a good effort all the way. WIRE BRUSH finished well. SOME DISH had no mishap. ENIGMA had some early speed. SWEETS could not keep up. ISLAND HOP showed a good effort. LIBERTY CHAN quit badly. RUDDY GLOW had no mishap. WAMEGO had early speed. ICE LADY had no mishap. FOXY POISE failed to respond when roused. BIG SUN was steadied along in the early running, but moved up with a rush going to the sixth fence, assumed command and held his opposition safe thereafter. DARJEELING jumped well and close to the early pace throughout, then failed to respond in the final furlong. BIG WRACK closed ground in the final quarter. BIG BID had early speed and quit. ALADEAR was close up and under mild restraint, moved up stoutly in the stretch run under severe pressure and outlasted TWENTY THIRTY. The latter was outrun early and moved up on the outside, then finished with a rush. BLUNT REMARK raced close to the pace from the beginning, but on the outside, then moved up and assumed command, swerved over to the inner rail and was taken under restraint to finish on own courage. FREEZ0UT closed some ground at the end. BLUE FALCON, on the inside, showed some early speed. CHANCE NICK was away poorly. MANOLA had a flash of early speed. MACKINAW swerved after the start, had a flash of early speed, then quit. STEMMERS RUN showed some improvement. CHAINS was close up in the early stages. ALTHIRD, under pressure, could ont keep up. FLASHCO was under snug restraint in the early stages, but finished well on the outside of the winner. CONTEST was under snug restraint early, but flattened out while urged. PARHELION, on the outside from the beginning, had no mishap. LADYS ACE was never formidable. NOBLE CREEK dropped back in the early running. NATHANIEL swerved in the stretch run. The latter was steadied along in front and showed speed, but was tiring when impeded. GREAT RUSH was sent up on the outside for the stretch run, but was bearing out at the end. TEDS SPECIAL made a determined bid rounding to the stretch, then faltered. FLIGHT NURSE had no mishap. CALATAN could not keep up. Scratched 22018 Darby Diadem, 117.
