TOPLESS TOWER was not hurried early, improved his position steadily, went to the outside for the drive, was bumped mildly by CHISLAM in passing and drew out to win easily. CHISLAM, a forward factor from the beginning, took CQmmand in the back-stretch, drew into a clear lead on the final turn and bore out slightly in the stretch, but could not meet the bid of the winner. ONEMORE lacked early speed, moved into closer contention on the outside, then continued evenly. UNITRAN was unable to engage the leaders at any stage. COUNT GOLD was never dangerous.
