W. Stuart Hunter Fatally Injured in Auto Accident ATLANTIC CITY, Mays Landing, N. J., May 27. W. Stuart Hunter, well known in breeding and racing circles, was fatally injured in an automobile accident near Lexington, Ky., late Friday, according to word received here by judge Samuel C. Nuckols, steward for the local association. Hunter was killed when a truck crashed into the car in which he, along with members of his family and friends, were seated. The Hunter car had stopped on the edge of the highway in a dense fog. Mr. Hunter was the only casualty, although the car was wrecked, the report said. Mr. Hunter, who at one time was associated with the Fasig-Tipton Company, for many years was secretary to the late Johnson N. Camden, United States Senator from Kentucky and a leading breeder and owner of thoroughbreds. He also served under the Kentucky State Racing Commission as supervisor of pari-mutuel betting in that state.
