Massachusetts Senate Kills Bill Permitting More Tracks SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 28. Reversing itself, the Massachusetts State Senate has killed a bill which would have allowed exceptions to the law prohibiting the establishment of mile running horse race tracks running within 50 miles of each other. The action was taken after brief statements by two senators opposing the measure. No one spoke in favor of the bill and it was rejected on a voice vote.
