Pipette Brings 8,000 At Belmont Park Auction Thirty-One Head Pass Through Ring for Total of 09,500 BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 28. Thirty-one thoroughbreds, headed by the late W. H. LaBoyteauxs Pipette, went under the auctioneers hammer here this morning. The combined consignments of various owners brought a total of 09,-500, for an average of ,532. Pipette, three-year-old daughter of Piping Rock Highclere, was the objective of several bidders, but when the hammer fell she went to J. Ryan, represented by Preston M. Burch, for 8,000.
