Jack Carter, Jr., Takes Oyer Training of Rosenthal Unit HAWTHORNE, Cicero, 111., May 28. Jack Carter, Jr., has taken over the conditioning of the stable of the local owner, L. D. Rosenthal, succeeding his father in that post. The elder Carter has been in poor health and physicians have advised an extended rest. Young Carter, who is 29 years old, has worked with his father for the past several years and in all has been around tracks throughout the country since he was 16. He has been assisting with the Rosenthal horses since his father took over the string last year. They are now in quarters at Arlington Park and are vanned here to fill engagements.
