Omaha Track Presents Well-Balanced Program Hamur Seen as Post Time Choice In Six-Furlong Runnymede Purse AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., May 31.— The Runnymede Purse, a six-furlong dash fashioned for intermediate claiming performers ranging in value from ,500 down to ,500, will feature Wednesdays well-balanced program at the West Side course. Seven formidable speedsters were named to measure strides in this headliner which should provide interesting and thrilling sport. In addition to the nominal attraction, seven other contests are to be presented with full fields scheduled to parade postward in all but one. L. E. Shislers Wongerra is the only member of the Runnymede group to have thus far registered a success during the present meeting and this came at the hands of less capable charges than against whom he will be asked to compete tomorrow. Guy and Walter Schultz local favorite Hamur will probably answer the bugle as the choice if her only out over the Ak-Sar-Ben track can be used as a criterion. This 11-year-old gelded product of Quatre Brass TX — Mormaw, made -his local debut in the second division of the Inaugural Handicap, and while unable to seriously menace the winner, Silver Fire, gave an impressive effort in finishing fourth in the field of 11 highly regarded handicap stars. Hamur will have the saddle services of his usual rider apprentice Oscar Wells and, under his feathery impost of 105 pounds, should prove capable of turning back his opponents. Such other better than average platers as Bruning and Snyders Mr. Flynn, R. K. McGreevys Clemie Cash, Mrs. Dannetta Burns Count Mattier, H. T. Deahls Lady Psychic, and Ex Parte, the property of Anthony Puccinelli also are entered. Count Mattier closed ground in his only appearance here and has been working cleverly, which would seem to indicate a return to winning form. The others have shown little in actual competition, but could improve greatly with additional campaigning.
