MOON BLUE went up on the outside on the backstretch to improve position, disposed of the leaders, drew out and won easily. CORYDON saved ground while reserved early, worked his way up between horses and finished best of the others. KHAYGRAM was well placed on the rail and had no mishap. CHILLEE KNIGHT was in close quarters and was taken up going into the far turn, went through on the rail with a rush to be closest to the pace and faltered. STEEL CHAIN was through after a half. TOPNARD was outrun. BIG ALBERT and BUSY MAIDEN quit after engaging each other for the early lead. SPEED PLAY showed a dull effort. MISS CLARA made the pace on the rail, was hard put when challenged, held on after being headed and outfinished MYMANDAN. The latter was closest to the pace on the outside, drew up to take a slight lead in the stretch and just missed. MANNEQUIN was forwardly placed from the beginning and showed a good effort. ROSCOE GOOSE, slow to gather stride, lost some ground moving up and finished resolutely. ALAR tired in the final furlong. SUN TANNERY lacked speed. AIR CURRENT raced wide most of the way. VICTORY BANNER gave way in the drive. TALLY lost considerable ground most of the way. BESSIE VANCE quit. MOONS END shook off SIR HARKEE and came to the inside on the turn, began to shorten stride in the closing furlong and was hard put to withstand COPPER TINT. The latter was prominent between horses early, went up on the outside for the drive and was wearing down the winner. RAMONA came to the inside midway of the turn when clear, moved up gamely in the closing stages and showed a good effort. LIKE A BREEZE lacked room in the opening stages. JULIETS BAY tired. SIR HARKEE had brief speed and gave way. STUDYING showed a poor effort and was not persevered With in the final quarter. BOLD STAR fell nearing the fix-sixteenths post. . WAR RULER, a sharp factor from the break, was forced to lose some ground, but was not good enough. POIGNANCY, pinched back after the start, forged through on the rail on the turn, went to the outside for the drive and finished willingly. KENDOR, slow to begin, finished strongly and should improve when sent a longer distance. LASS QUEST weakened in the drive after racing prominently. LITTLE MILLY tired. SGT. BROWN was knocked back at the start. DONARIS showed a poor effort.
