Capot and Olympia Each Allotted 128 Campbell Bates Pair Even For Saturdays Running of Peter Pan at Belmont Park BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 31. — John B. Campbell released his weight assignments for the 69 three-year-old eligibles for the Peter Pan Handicap to be run on Saturday. This mile and one furlong feature is endowed with a purse of 5,000 and to many horsemen is a testing vehicle for the longer and more exacting Belmont Stakes, the climactic offering for that age at the meeting. The Greentree Stables Capot and Fred W. Hoopers Olympia are rated alike by the veteran handicapper, at 128 each. Four pounds below them is Palestinian, who recently won the Jersey Stakes at Garden State Park. Ponder is next in line with 123, while Old Rockport has 119 as his allotment. From this weight, the others are graded gradually down to 92 pounds the lightest impost which is shared by four nominees. Capot Will Accept Capot was made a candidate this morning by trainer John Gaver following an excellent trial by the Preakness winner. Trainer Ivan Parke was also definite in stating that Olympia would not start, while Palestinian, according to Hirsch Jacobs, will be reserved for the Belmont Stakes. The Peter Pan is one of the newer stake offerings on the Westchester Racing Associations agenda. This week-end will mark the tenth running and when the nominations were closed on March 15, 84 were made eligible. Fifteen of this lot were later declared. Horse. Wt. Horse. Wt.
