Interesting Opening Day Program at River Downs RIVER DOWNS, Cincinnati, Ohio, May 31. — With everything in readiness and in anticipation of one of the greatest race meetings in the "history of this southeastern Ohio plant, the River Downs Racing Association officially opens its doors when the horses go postward for the first race. Racing secretary H. L. Van Zandt has carded a particularly varied and interesting opening days program. The seventh race will be the customary feature spot and is billed as the River Downs Inaugural Purse, a . six-f urlongsprinjfc f orr andllow,ajnc£ campaigners three years old and older. G. Y. Bookers Lawless Miss, who carries the title of the "undisputed queen of the half mil-ers" and who has rapidly gained recognition for her victories at Thistle Downs and other of the milers, will undoubtedly be strongly supported in the wagering of the Inaugural. Rounding out the field of the Inaugural and their weights are S. J. Browns Tubby B., 112; A. P. Kensleys Jim Branch, 109; J. G. Browns Red Flag, also 109; Mrs. P. Smiths Best Trick, 103; Barrows and Lees Hectic Hour, 109; Brown and Woods Lady Joan, 107; P. J. DeMarys Raydel, 108, and Mrs. J. T.
