Won driving; second and third the same, WESTERN FRONT steadily improved his position under good handling, was sent between horses entering the stretch and wore down SPRING FIESTA in the last sixteenth. SPRING FIESTA, a keen factor from the start, went to the front when settled in the stretch, but was unable to withstand the winner. BAR GRENADE, on the outside to the upper turn, could not get to the leaders when set down for the stretch run. LAROC assumed command early and made the pace to the stretch, then weakened. QUEEN FLASH had brief speed. LADY NINA began sluggishly. GOLD CHIMES gave way after racing well to the stretch. STICKTOME was never prominent. COME TIGER raced wide after beginning alertly. Start good from stall gate for all but FOURTH DEGREE. Won driving; second and third the same. HIGH BOSS, never far back, reached the lead in the stretch, then held on gamely to withstand GOMEL. The latter, forwardly placed from the beginning, closed determinedly and was getting to the winner at the finish. BIG WIG, far back and outrun to the stretch, was sent to the extreme outside for the drive and closed with a rush. BIG DITCH gave a good effort and had no mishap. DOVER ROAD failed to rally when set down in the drive. ROYTIG lacked early speed. RENO UPTART was never dangerous. FOURTH DEGREE began poorly. LEAPING MOOSE went to the front at once, made the pace to the stretch, then gave way. CAO JR. could not keep up. SUGAR LUMP had a rough trip. BOLD HARRY was far back throughout. CARGO, away slowly, was hustled to the front early, made the pace to the final furlong, then faltered. LETS RUN, forced wide after the start by LEADING MAN, finished well when set down through the stretch. COMELY BELLE could not keep up. TEAPOY tired. The latter raced evenly during the first half, was sent to the outside for the drive and finished fast in a good effort. COTTON JOE went to the front after beginning sluggishly, made the pace until nearing the stretch, then gave way when challenged by ALMENOW. ClALLORETTE lacked early speed. DICKS GAL had early speed. PERIAIR, fractious at the post, failed to threaten during the running. BLUE BADGE was outrun. CASTEL BEAU never was prominent. TROUBLE SANDS gave way after racing well to the stretch.
