Vol conic Strives For Repeat Score Walmac Colt Faces Strong Opposition Maijo, Favorito and Trixie Should Cut Strong Figures In Lincoln Fields Feature WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, 111., June 15. — Fourteen stout sprinters will compete in the Flying Heels Purse, headline test of the Lincoln Fields at Washington Park meeting program tomorrow. Six of them have won at the meeting, and the sprint will test their ability on an off-track, since the racing strip was extremely muddy today. The winners include Walmac Farms Maijo, Meadowbrook Stables Gus G., A. E. Mettz Tiger Tom, M. H. VanBergs Favorito, and Shady Brook Farms Cleve-lander. The others are Mrs. Jake Lowen-steins Trixie, a beaten favorite in her last try; Kenesaw Farms Best Prospect, Mrs. H. J. Damms Reighs Comet, Mrs. G. R. Francis Royal Sir, Mrs. T. M. Pruetts Technicolor, Mrs. Thelma Otts Easy Trade, C. U. Yaegers Overnight, and Helen S. Reinemans Scotch Secret. Nelson to Ride Maijo Volcanic, Howard Wells strapping four-year-old son of Ambrose Light, won his only start of the meeting on June 1 in most impressive style and probably will rule the favorite. Maijo, a four-year-old Balladier filly, accounted for two upset victories in the first two weeks of the meeting, one of them on a sloppy track. Jockey Eldon Nelson, who was aboard both times, will ride the Woolford entry again. Favorito has become the favorite with many Lincoln .Fields fans because of his stretch-running ability which not only accounted for one victory, but placed him second to With Pleasure in another race, and third to Proud -Ruler in the fastest six furlongs of the meeting. The six-year-old Flares gelding in other races has demonstrated that he can run in any kind of going. The same is true of Shady Brooks popular Litchfield grey gelding, Cleve-. lander. Although Trixie disappointed in her last outing, the six-year-old Haste mare has been one of the most consistent performers on Chicago tracks for several seasons. Best Prospect and Technicolor have been important factors in their recent races. Overnight, a six-year-old brown gelding by Man ONight, will be making his first start of the season, as will Scotch Secret.
