SANTA ROSEANNA, never far back, was sent to the outside entering the stretch and, closing well under urging, wore down the leaders to win going away. BONESS, in hand to the last three-eighths, assumed command when settled in the stretch, but could not hold the winner. MARKABILITY went to the front at the start, made the pace for three-quarters, then faltered. HIGH TEST lacked early speed, but finished well under punishment. EUGENE raced evenly without mishap. FROLICLAND was outrun. AGRARIAN SON failed to stay when set down in the stretch. LADY NINA was never dangerous. QUEENS CHANCE, fractious at the post, broke out of the gate before the start and had to be returned to the paddock for a change in equipment, then showed nothing in the running. BLENROUGE was far back throughout. SPECIAL PET had early speed. V. BOMB, rank at the post, began alertly, but quit after displaying brief speed and was eased in the stretch when hopelessly beaten.
