IRENE forced the pace on the outside, drew clear when hard pressed and just lasted over SAYBIRD. The latter did not attempt to be with the leaders on the turn, was rated, then moved up steadily in the drive and just missed. FANA G. saved ground and finished with good courage. DELTOID could not keep up in the opening stages, then closed with a rush between horses. MY FUTURE bore out coming out of the turn. STAR BABY caught tired horses in a belated bid. LADY BESS gave way in the drive after making the early pace. JACKS NIECE and PET FACE were through early. KEEP HAPPY broke in a tangle. LADY LASSATOR showed in front at the break, drew clear before a quarter, drifted out badly when ready for the drive and, beyond the middle of the track, outfinished RICHWALL. The latter was well placed from the start, made a game bid a sixteenth from the finish and faltered in the closing strides. LEO RED, slow to gain stride, finished strongly. JUSTASNACK gave way after forcing the pace early. HOUR AL had no excuse. SWEET COMET was through before a half. SKYWAVE was outrun. BROWN DAME had no mishap. TREE LAND was a sharp factor from the break, took command in the final furlong and just lasted over FLY OUT. The latter was slow to begin and lost considerable ground moving up and just missed. THOMAS was blocked in midstretch, forged between horses and showed a good effort. REAL SWEET caught tired horses. INFINOTTO was hustled along to maintain a slight lead and gave way badly in the closing sixteenth. THUNDER ECHO quifc- DONS COUNT raced prominently for a half and tired. OVERTAKE was outrun. EL CABRILLO was through early. TRUE TIME flashed speed and quit. RAMONA held a slight lead on the outside, shook off QUIVIVE after a half and came to the outside, drifted out through the drive and outfinished CHICKEN ANN. The latter went up steadily on the inside, was on even terms with .the winner forty yards from the finish and hung. MUCH PLEASURE had no excuse in a willing effort. BEL QUEEN challenged mildly under pressure and gave way. FOX RING showed a dull effort. QUIVIVE quit. EAGER AGNES dwelt at the start. Fox Ring claimed by G. D. LIGHT saved ground early while closest to the pace, was forced wide coming out of the turn, gained the lead briefly, but was not good enough. MARKIGHT was sent into a long lead quickly, was taken wide coming out of the turn and gave way in the drive. SHASTA TURBAN had no excuse. WEE WEE MARIE caught tired horses. UNCLE MAC had no excuse. RIPPLING SAND raced wide all the way. GROUND SIGNAL and VANFLAG were through early. ALL FOR FREE, unhurried the opening half "while saving ground, was guided to the outside when ready for the drive, bore in when drawing along side MISSAB and gained the lead in the closing stages. The latter lost some ground reaching the lead, drew out under urging and just missed. APPEASER went up between horses to be prominent and stumbled at the sixteenth post. SULIE tired. MR. FOX was outrun. OUR SLOGAN was under urging to remain forwardly the opening half and quit. IMPACT showed nothing. FIGHTING LOUIE quit after displaying good speed for a half. PERT moved up on the rail, gained command briefly between calls in the stretch, but was not good enough. DRY BELT improved position on the railthreatened mildly in the stretch and was blocked, then failed to rally. OUR BEST went into the lead after PHANTOM HEELS quit, then gave way in the drive.
