Michigan Notes FATJ3, GROUNDS, Detroit, Mich., June 15. Duval A. Headley, master of Manchester Farm, Lexington, Ky., sent four members of his 15 -horse stable to Arlington Park for campaigning. Those making the trip to the Illinois course were Stole, Simla, Smasher and Sapphire. Gene Molbert, who is connected with the locally-owned P. L. Grissom stable, wishes to extend his thanks for the floral offerings and expressions of sympathy extended by the Fair Grounds turf colony when his brother, jockey Joseph Molbert, was killed in a riding accident at Suffolk Downs. Final rites were held Friday for jockey Molbert at New Iberia, La. Jockey Earl J. Knapp, who is under contract to the locally-owned James Powers Dearborn Stable, arrived from Chicago and reported to trainer August Swenke, of the Dearborn establishment. James Paddock, of Louisville, Ky., who has several horses quartered at the Fair Grounds in charge of trainer V. R. Wright, checked in from the Falls Cityi and plans to remain here for a week of racing. Jack Webber arrived from Garden State Park with the five horses he will race here for the Gardenia Stable and Mrs. Tillie Newsom. Roman Candle, winner of the Black Helen Handicap, Alvan and Newtown are to campaign under the Gardenia colors, while Zerlina and Dove Shoot will carry Mrs. Newsoms colors at the Fair Grounds. Bob Gilmore, former official with the HBPA and turfman, arrived here from New York on business, and he will remain for the balance of the current Motor City season. Gilmore is now representing a van service. Jockey Harry Hart has been engaged to ".landle I. J. Collins Beau Nash in the 0,-D00 Governors Handicap, which is to be lecided here next Saturday. Mrs. Georgia E. Sullivans stable, com- prising False Move, Klamath, Risky Betty, Scotch Caoni, Blue Mountain and Samari-tano, arrived here in charge of trainer Leo Sierra. The Sullivan unit is from Kerry-ville, Tex.
