Grand Jury to Take Up Dodgers Ticket Fund Shortage BROOKLYN, N. Y., May 26. UP. After a four-month investigation by Brooklyn District Attorney Miles McDonald, the regular May grand jury will begin questioning witnesses this week in connection with the disappearance of 5,000 from the Brooklyn Dodgers ticket funds. The missing funds from the sale of tickets to the 1951 world series which the Dodgers never made, first came to light on February 1, when McDonald revealed that Walter OMalley, president of the organization, had notified him of a shortage. Accountants discovered it at the end of the 1951 season. McDonald said that witnesses will be called and that he expects an indictment.
